MORE ABOUT THE ʻAULIʻI LUAU
ʻAuliʻi Luau is one of Kauai’s most popular luaus— reflected in endless sold-out nights. While the luau lacks some traditional aspects like an imu unveiling ceremony, it makes up for its shortcomings with professionalism, excellent entertainment, and a dreamy beachfront location at the Sheraton Kauai Beach Resort.
Aulii Luau’s authentic celebration is one of Kauai’s finest. The luau’s awe-inspiring performances depict ancient sea voyages, mythological tales, and Kauai’s heart-stopping fire-throwing traditions. Hawaii’s history and culture are knit into the performance, as well as dances and songs from Tahiti, New Zealand, and Samoa. Before settling in for the revue, guests can indulge in a feast fit for royalty. Crafted by chefs at the Sheraton Resort, ʻAuliʻi Luau’s Polynesian buffet boasts island favorites like kalua pork, poke, purple sweet potatoes, chow mein, and Huli Huli chicken.

We were staying nearby and decided last-minute to book Aulii. Best decision of the trip! Being right on the beach as the sun set behind/next to the dancers felt surreal. The staff were really nice, and our server made sure we were happy, which we were. The kalua pork was the highlight food-wise, but the dessert table kinda disappeared fast, so don’t wait too long.
We had a great time. They did a good job blending cultural elements with entertainment. My teenagers actually paid attention for once.
My wife and I went for our anniversary and the setting was just incredible, toes-in-the-sand kind of beachfront view. The food was good, and the whole thing felt really romantic and well done overall.
We have a family of six and everyone found something that we loved about the show. My youngest was obsessed with the drums and dancing, while my partner went back for thirds on the grilled fish. Everything was well-paced and didn’t feel rushed. Loved that we could hear the waves during the show — really added to the experience.
Loved this luau. The location is perfect, right on the sand, and the show was way more entertaining than I expected. The fire knife dance at the end was wild, people were cheering like crazy. Just wish the buffet lines moved a little faster.
