MORE ABOUT THE GRAND HYATT KAUAI LUAU
At the Grand Hyatt Kauai Luau, guests are greeted with a welcome mai tai, shell lei, and a smile. Pick a seat and relax while enjoying the sweet sounds of live Hawaiian music, or get your photo taken next to the luau’s massive ‘ALOHA’ sign. As the sun begins to set, keep your ears out for the sound of the conch shell, which signals the start of the feast. This Kauai Luau’s lavish buffet includes fresh fruit, imu-style kalua pork, volcano-spiced fish, poi rolls, a spread of decadent desserts, and more.
Following dinner, the stage comes alive with rhythmic Tahitian dances, Hawaiian hula kahiko, and Maori chants. The comical emcee provides a detailed look into what each dance represents. Finally, the revue reaches its zenith with an awe-inspiring Samoan fire-knife dance.

$204 isn't cheap, but the quality and setting at the Hyatt made it worth it. Just be sure to arrive right at 5:30 for the best table choices. Parking is free
The Grand Hyatt setting really elevates this luau - that breezy courtyard location is gorgeous. Their mai tais packed a proper punch (not the watered-down tourist versions), and the volcano-spiced fish at the buffet was a standout. The Maori chants were hauntingly beautiful and unlike anything we've seen at other luaus.
Last year we went to the Kalamaku Luau and it was better.
the fire knife dance was a showstopper. The buffet dinner offered a great selection of Hawaiian food I hadn't tasted before, though a few items I didn't like.
The interactive performances were engaging, and the Samoan fire knife dance was breathtaking (Samoan, right?) The food was scrumptious, wit a variety of Hawaiian dishes. Perfect for our family! Thanks again!
