From the location to the fare to the entertainment, Luau Ka Hikina’s production is top-tier. The event is hosted in Halau Hoʻokipa— a luxe, newly-constructed outdoor event pavilion overlooking Kapaʻa’s royal surfing grounds. The night kicks off with a welcome drink and fresh flower lei greeting. Guests are then welcome to explore the oceanfront luau grounds, browse the local vendor market, or indulge in another mai tai from the open bar. Be sure to arrive hungry— the luau includes a deluxe Hawaiian feast with locally-sourced products.

As sunlight is traded for the soft glow of torches, the dynamic performance begins. This luau is directed by Leilani Rivera Low, an award-winning hula teacher. Explore the chants, dances, and songs of Tahiti, Hawaii, Tonga, and New Zealand. Of course, no luau would be complete without an epic Samoan fire dance finale, which Luau Ka Hikina does with zeal. This celebration is held every Tuesday, Thursday, and select Fridays.

What is the difference between General Seating and Aliʻi Premier Seating?

At the time of writing, only general seating is offered. However, this will likely change as the luau grows.

great location

The beachfront location was gorgeous, and the dances were full of energy. The mai tais from the open bar were a nice touch since we'd just gotten off the plane. We need to get the knots out of our backs!
